Whispering Pines Golf Club, Columbus AFB Golf Course is a Military, 9 hole golf course located on Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Mississippi.
Whispering Pines Golf Club first opened for play in 1959.
The Whispering Pines Golf Club golf course was built through a wooded area. It has narrow fairways and water hazards that come into play on some holes. The signature hole is #8, a 480-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg fairway. Hole #4, is a par 3 with green sloped from front right to back left.
The Whispering Pines / Columbus AFB golf course plays to a 9-hole par-35 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 2,782 yards. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to dusk (Apr. - Nov.) and 8 a.m. to dusk (Dec. - Mar.).

A dream course for the player who enjoys paying attention to the game. Keep it straight off the tees and enjoy your short game. CALL ahead to the Pro Shop (662) 434-7932 for quicker access to the Columbus Air Force Base. Stop at the Visitor's Center for an ID check and then on the course. You can get a monthly or annual base pass [background check run by Security Office ... no big deal ... only takes a couple of days]. The Reuben Sandwich after play is REALLY good! NOTE: no practice range but good nets & mats for a warm up.
